Baby Lock Educators #3

The third Baby Lock educator that I would like to tell you about is Ashley Lienhart.  She specializes in longarm quilting and Prostitcher Software as well as embroidery and sergers.  She has a very energetic personality and you can tell that she loves what she is doing.  So nice to have a young person enjoying sewing.

1. Ashley works with Denise Schober with the webinars for ProStitcher. Both of them are fantastic.

2. Her website can be found here.   The Facebook page is here. She also has a You Tube site here.

Are you new to Pro-Stitcher?? Here are some great sources to learn.

Pro-Stitcher Lite came on the market to Baby Lock customers in 2021.  We took off with the product and many people are trying to learn it.   Here are some great sources for learning all versions of Pro-Stitcher.

1.   Baby Lock has great videos on the SEWED program.

Pro-Stitcher Premium can be found HERE

Pro-Stitcher Lite can be found HERE. There are many more on the way.

Pro-Stitcher Designer can be found HERE.

2. Pro-Stitcher.com has a great learning site.  You can also print off the manuals for each of these products on this site.

Pro-Stitcher Premium education can be found HERE

Pro-Stitcher Lite education can be found HERE

Pro-Stitcher Designer education can be found HERE

3. HandiQuilter.com also has lots of information on long arm and Pro-Stitcher.

HERE is a link to their free downloads page with resources about tension and quilting on a long arm.

I have also learned a lot from HandiQuilter's You Tube channel.  They have some great info on tension, stitching, loading a quilt as well as Pro-Stitcher videos HERE

4.  You Tube has great videos also.

Adam Sew Fun is a great one.   Look HERE.

MK Quilts University also has a lot of information.  Look HERE.

I have been using 3 different machines - two Coronets with Pro-Stitcher Lite and a Regalia with Pro-Stitcher Premium since last March.  I have quilted over 60 quilts with very few problems.  There is a huge learning curve and I have also learned many work arounds to get it to what I want to do.  Currently, I am using the beta version of Pro-Stitcher Connect and have had very few issues.

Until next time, Happy Sewing.

How to straighten a quilt backing

I recently watched this video about quilt backing.  I learned quite a few things from it.  Check it out.

Looped needle threaders make long arm needle threading easier.

I have been using these looped needle threaders on my Coronet for a while.  It makes it easier to thread the needle and also to see if the needle hole is straight.

One end goes through the needle and the thread can be pulled through the loop in the front.  After the thread is in the loop, pull the threader through the needle.

Threads from front to back with no difficulty.  It can also be used on sergers and sewing machines when needed.

We carry these at Sewingly Yours if you want to purchase.

Until next time, Happy Sewing.

Pro-Stitcher Premium and Pro-Stitcher Lite

I have had the Pro-Stitcher Lite on my Coronet for over a year now plus we have one at Sewingly Yours. I have many hours working with this set up and have learned a lot over the last 13 months.

Communication between the encoders and machine seems to be one of the biggest problems  The encoders can be too tight or too loose or have places on the track that they do not touch. There can be some connections issues and the green lights on the encoders do not come on.

Here are some very helpful links that I have used to get more information:

1. Handiquilter has lots of information on their website. The link below is about communications.

https://support.handiquilter.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058162571-Pro-Stitcher-Communication

2. Download the Baby Lock installation manual HERE.  Look in the back for trouble shooting tips.

3. This is an interesting document from a man who has made many modifications.  Read the very last page for encoder information.  I found him on a Facebook group for Pro-Stitcher Lite.  Find his document HERE.

4. Here is a You Tube about what to do if your machine will not stitch.  It just moves around.  Find it HERE.  Please note that with Pro-Stitcher Lite you will have to set up your frame space if you have to reconnect the motors.  I generally try the "Reconnect Machine" first and, if it does not work, I go back and try to "Reconnect Motors."   Pro-Stitcher Premium does not have to set up a frame space so that is why she did not have to reset it.

That's all for now.

Until next time, Happy Sewing!

On the Pro-Stitcher Today!

Pro-Stitcher Lite gets easier and easier.  If you have one, just stick with it and you will learn more and more.

This is the Flutterbys design on a Riley Blake pillow.  (Making a sample for Sewingly Yours.)

No hiccups other than a couple of problems that I created for myself!

Until next time, Happy Sewing!

Here is a quilt that I have finished this year. Quilted on a Coronet with Pro-Stitcher Lite.

May put it at Crickets Nest in the future.

That lump in the middle is a pillow.  I didn't realize it would look that weird!

Until next time, Happy Sewing!

This is one of those "took a long time to make" quilts.  My daughter started this about 8 years ago and finished it up over Thanksgiving. I quilted it with Pro-Stitcher Lite and gave it to her at Christmas. She did a great job on it.

Until next time, Happy Sewing.

Shop Sample for Sewingly Yours - Ruby Star Society Birthday Panel

Under the needle yesterday and finished last night is a shop sample for Sewingly Yours.  It is using the Ruby Star Society Birthday Panel.  Someone else did the piecing, I just used the Coronet and ProStitcher Lite to do the quilting. Now for squaring it up and adding the binding.

 Until next time, Happy Sewing!

It has been a long time since I have posted.  I have even forgotten to take pictures of a lot of the stuff that I have worked on.  I just finished up two Appalachian State University quilts for a friend and did not get a picture of them.  She did the tops and I quilted them using Prostitcher Lite. I have done 9 quilts now using Prostitcher and am getting the hang of it.  Just checking in.

Until next time, Happy Sewing.
