Martha Pullen Certifications

Starting in 2015 or so, I knew that I wanted to retire in the next few years and I wanted to go back to my roots of crafting and sewing.  Originally I received a Home Economics Education degree from UNC-Greensboro but could not find a job in teaching.  I ended up taking a temporary job at Pellcare - a nursing home in Walkertown.  It was Food Service Director and was just filling in for a maternity leave.  The lady decided that she did not want to come back so I ended up with a full-time job and just fell in love with it.  I worked in Food Service at a couple of nursing homes and went back to school for a computer science degree.  When I graduated, I was able to  move into the Business Office.  Since I had a baby, it was better schedule-wise.  No more working 7 days a week and early mornings to help with breakfast and late hours to finish supper!

I found an online class with Martha Pullen and signed up.  The first one was for beginning sewing.

Here are some of the projects that I had to complete.

A Rag Quilt

A Crazy Patch Pillow

A Quilted Pillow Sham

A Martha Pullen Tote

A Pullover Blouse and An A line Skirt ( blouse not shown)

A Madeira Table Runner

Until next time, Happy Sewing!
